고려대학교 대학원생 학술대회(이하 KUGS 학술대회)가 전세계에서 아시아학 관련 연구를 진행중인 대학원생분들께 저희의 2022년 학술대회에 초록(abstracts)를 제출해주시길 요청합니다. KUGS 학술대회는 대학원생들에게 아시아학에 대한 생각과 최신 연구경향을 공유하고 토론할 수 있는 장을 만들어주기 위해 매년 개최되고 있습니다. 고려대학교 안암캠퍼스에서 온라인으로 개최될 이번 학술대회는 젊은 학자들이 자신들의 연구를 동료와 예비 학자들에게 소개할 수 있는 기회가 될 것입니다. 또한 학술대회는 참여자들이 해당 연구분야의 다른 연구자들을 만나 각자의 경험과 작업들을 토론할 수 있는 무대를 제공해 드립니다.
2022년 제 9회 KUGS 학술대회의 특별 테마는 “한국사에 있어서의 담론과 반대담론'입니다. 발표문이 다루는 시대는 어떠한 시대라도 무관합니다. 모든 지원서들이 검토의 대상이지만 이론, 학설, 담론, 반대담론에 대해 다룬 지원서들은 역사에 대한 분석과 이해의 측면에서 추가적인 검토를 통해 선정될 예정입니다. 저희는 한국사와의 비교 연구라는 측면에서 한국사 뿐 아니라 기타 아시아학에 대한 발표문도 환영합니다. 2022년 KUGS 학술대회의 궁극적인 목표는 한국사를 연구하는 젊은 학자들이 다양한 관점을 개발 할 수 있도록 창의적이고 혁신적인 아이디어를 제공하는 것입니다.
The Korea University Graduate Student (KUGS) Conference invites graduate students from around the world and conducting research in Asian studies to submit abstracts for our 2022 conference. The KUGS Conference is an annual conference which aims to provide a forum for graduate students to exchange ideas and discuss current research on Asian studies. This conference, to be held online through Korea University’s Anam campus in Seoul, is an opportunity for young scholars to present their research to both their peers and eminent scholars. The conference will also enable participants to meet others in their field conducting similar research, and to gain experience in presenting their work for discussion.
The 2022 9th Annual Korea University Graduate Student Conference special theme is “Narratives and Counter-narratives in Korean History.” We welcome papers that cover any time period in history. Although all applications will be taken into consideration, special consideration will be given to papers regarding theories, discourses, narratives, and counternarratives for analyzing, understanding, and depicting history. We also appreciate papers related to fields in Asian Studies, particularly ones that can provide comparative interpretations with regard to Korean history. Our goal of the 2022 conference is to provide a space for young researchers studying Korean history with creative and innovative ideas to investigate diverse perspectives.

Eligibility and Application Guidelines:
1. 지원자들은 반드시 현재 대학원 과정에 등록되어 있어야 합니다.
(영국 학제 기준으로는 "postgraduate")
1. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a program of graduate study ("postgraduate" in British degree classification systems).
2. 발표문은 반드시 아시아학(주로 한국학, 중국학, 일본학)에 관련된 내용이어야 합니다.
2. Papers must be related to Asian studies, mainly Korean, Chinese, and Japanese studies.
3. 초록은 250 단어 이하여야 합니다.
3. Abstracts must be no longer than 250 words.
4. 초록 제출 기한은 2022년 3월 18일(금) 오후 5시(EST)입니다.
